Second Vice President
Julie Quesenbery is a police officer at the Columbus Police Department. During her 14 years at CPD, she has served as a Field Training Officer, D.A.R.E. Instructor, Cadet Coordinator, and Homework/Tutoring Mentor. Currently, she serves as the SRO at Columbus East High School and the Sergeant for the SRO’s for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation.
As an SRO, Julie has co-developed corporation-wide procedures in the event of an armed intruder. Julie is an ALICE “Active Shooter Response” Instructor and regularly trains school staff, students and the community. In addition, she co-authored a young women’s self-defense class called, “S.A.F.E.” (Situational Awareness For Everyday). To date, over 1,200 young women have taken part in the program. She is a Policing the Teen Brain Instructor and a large portion of her career has been dedicated to efforts in bridging the gap between law enforcement and youth. Julie holds an Associate of Science in Law Enforcement from Vincennes University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Indiana State University.
She has a 7 year old son, Wyatt, and a 10 year old daughter, Halle. In her free time, Julie enjoys fishing, long endurance sports and is an Ironman Triathlete. Julie is very happy to be serving on the INSROA Board and is looking forward to serving the amazing officers of this organization.
