Effective Internet Safety Presentations for School Resource Officers
This 24-hour course is designed to give participants the tools needed to stay current with ever-changing technology, investigate Internet crimes, and learn how to prepare and conduct Internet safety presentations for students, parents, and staff.
This hands-on training will teach participants the basic principles of investigating Internet crimes. Participants will learn how to obtain information that is vital to the investigations and will examine the forms necessary to access and preserve information. Cyberstalking laws and pending legislation will be discussed. The course will demonstrate how participants can transfer their investigative knowledge and their understanding of Internet crimes to effective school and community Internet safety presentations.
