Educational Rep - Jan Baker

Jan is an educator at Goshen International Middle School in Goshen, Indiana.  During her 17 years at GMS, she has served as an 8th grade English teacher, assistant principal, associate principal, and now head principal.  Jan obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Indiana State University.

She has been an Indiana School Safety Specialist since 2006.  As school safety specialist, Jan regularly trains school staff and students on best practice safety procedures.  Many of her colleagues refer to her as the “safety guru” because of her passion for everyone’s well-being.  Jan hosted the first city-wide active school shooter training involving local fire, city and county police, 911, school staff, and other community members at GMS in the summer of 2018.  This  training was incredibly successful and informative and is now an annual event.

Jan is very honored to serve on the INSROA board and has been for the past six years.  She is extremely proud of the work that the men and women of INSROA have put into this organization.   It has been an absolute pleasure watching this organization grow and thrive thanks to the service and dedication of so many top-notch SRO’s across the state.

"Indiana School Resource Officers Association" is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. P.O. Box 922 Brownsburg, IN 46112
